Corey's coaching program Break Through Your Boundaries is customized for each individual and focuses on the area you feel you need to work on right now (ie. Career, Relationships, Health and Fitness, Personal Growth and Development, Spirituality, Money and Finance). Through her coaching, you become clear about your desired values, release negative emotions (anger, sadness, fear, hurt, guilt) and gain emotional freedom and control by letting go of self-defeating states that block your success.

  • A self-discovery process that uncovers and removes the limiting beliefs and the blocks that prevent you from being, doing or having what you want

  • A one-on-one consultation takes place to gather detailed personal history on the area you want to focus on (2-3 hour process)

Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)

What is Neuro Linguistic Programming and why do we need it in our lives?

Neuro Linguistic Programming, also referred to as NLP, can be broken down into three categories:
  • Neuro refers to our nervous system. Our mind through which our life experiences are processed via the five senses: visual (seeing), auditory (hearing), kinaesthetic (feeling/touch), olfactory (taste) and gustatory (smell). NLP is based on the idea that we experience our world through the five senses and translate sensory information into our thought processes both unconsciously and consciously. Thought processes activate the neurological system which affects our physiology, our emotions and our behaviours.
  • Linguistic refers to our language and other non-verbal communication systems through which we make sense of the world, capture and conceptualize experience and communicate what we experience to others. In NLP, linguistics is the study of how we use our words to speak or influence our experience.
  • Programming addresses how we code or mentally represent experience. Our personal programming consists of our internal processes and strategies. For example, thinking patterns that we use to make decisions, solve problems, learn, evaluate, and get results. NLP shows people how to recode our experiences and organize our internal programming so we get the outcome and results we want.


To simplify, NLP is the study of excellence in communication (with ourselves and with others) to create the results you want!



So what is it really?

It's been described as an art and a science of communication, or the key to learning. It's about what makes you and others tick. It's also been described as the route to get the results you want in all areas of your life.


NLP started in California in the early 1970s at the University of Santa Cruz. The founders were Richard Bandler, a Master's level student of Information Sciences and Mathematics, and Dr. John Grinder, a professor of linguistics. Bandler and Grinder wanted to study people they considered excellent communicators and agents of change. They were fascinated by how some people could beat the odds and get through to difficult or very ill people, while others failed miserably.


Utilizing NLP in her practice, Corey assists others in realizing their fullest potential. NLP helps individuals build rapport, understand their sensory awareness, look at their outcome thinking and be flexible with their behaviours.


NLP is about increasing choices. In order to get the benefit of NLP, you need to be open and give yourself the benefit of questioning and challenging the norms in a supportive way. NLP is an attitude about life and a technology which empowers you with the tools and abilities to change anything you want in your life that’s not working for you. Anything and everything is possible if you set your mind to it. Changing your mind and your attitude does change your life! So many people spend time focused on the negative - how they hate their job, their relationship or their look. If they conditioned themselves and concentrated on what they want instead, positive results are achievable!




What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state of mind. Hypnosis is sometimes referred to as "guided meditation". It is a heightened state of focus and awareness. It is a state of relaxation where you use your imagination and exercise your mind.



How does it work?

Hypnosis deals with the unconscious or inner mind. This is the part of our mind where our long term memories, our habits and our strongest emotions are stored. The unconscious mind controls how you feel and act when you are not fully focused on your actions and feelings. The unconscious mind is what causes you to reach for a cigarette when you are bored or stressed, or believe a piece of chocolate will comfort you. Through hypnosis we can access the unconscious mind and change patterns that exist inside us to change the way we think, feel and act.




Can anyone be hypnotized?

Anyone that wants to be hypnotized can be. Most people go into a hypnotic trance every 90 minutes. We are in a natural hypnotic trance every time we are absorbed in a novel or watch TV.


All hypnosis is considered self-hypnosis, meaning that the client’s participation is absolutely essential. The client is in control at all times.


How will I feel when hypnotized?

Have you ever been driving and the next thing you know you are at your destination but wonder how? That is a hypnotic state of mind. You feel very relaxed, you are fully aware and at a heightened state of super-consciousness. Most clients say that they were not hypnotized because they were completely aware of everything that was said and done while they had their eyes closed.


How long are the sessions and how many will I need?

Every person is different and everyone has different goals they want to achieve. We will work together based on your desired results and develop a customized program for you. Some goals can be achieved in one session or it could take a few sessions, depending on what you want to focus on.


What is the success rate?

Over 90% of clients who are serious and dedicated to achieve their goals do. It is a team effort and change can only occur if the client is 100% committed to it.


How can hypnosis help me?

Hypnosis is a tool used to break emotional or behavioural patterns that include fears, phobias and addictions such as smoking or overeating. Hypnosis is also useful in increasing self-confidence, goal setting or in enhancing performance (i.e. golf game, school grades or career objectives).
